from like dec 2000 to sometime in 2002 i somehow ended up going to almost every plaza party but luckily i didnt have to pay for the majority of them

I totally get ya on this one. There was def a time when people who went to raves all the time wanted to call them "parties" not raves, and would only go to smaller, underground parties bc Plaza was too "mainstream" and for "newbies or tryhards". Eventually I checked my attitude and formed quite a fondness for the clean, ventilated, legal venue.

I remember going to a party that had two permits... one to party until 2am and then another to recommence the party at 6am and go until 10 or so... So we went to Denny's for food inbetween and had parkinglot parties etc. Def something I won't forget. Seeing hundreds of party kids wandering around dt and plaza/gm place. Haha.

I do miss plaza abit. I'd say that starting from London Calling til the very end I hit almost every party there. Porlly missed 4 out of that time...I remember it being shut down for almost a year. All of us thought that Slinky was the last plaza party ever but then came Wett and HOLY FUCK was that one party that went in the books as one of the most fun parties ever. If it were to come back that would be hella sweet ;)

yep..chilled there for a while and when we were leaving there was a big lineup to get in and then when we decided to go back in the theatre room there was still a lineup in the morning. was sick...

i loved that place... as massive and full of stupids as it was.. i loved it


it allowed you enough space and enough people that you could act like a little kid again and it didn't matter how stupid you looked.. cause there was always 200 more people who looked even worse then you..(j'nette,krista, ..you know what i'm talking about)

p.s. Wett was one of my favourite parties..everyone was there, music was pretty good (from what i can rememeber) and i had an absolute blast!

I always liked plaza done up exert styles, especially 2fresh that was a fun party. I loved how the bc room was for house with people like dj Veronica and Leanne, they played some gooood house.
