most border gaurds have a lens over top of there eyes.. Its almost like a contact lens to help you see , except a computer reciever tranzmits data to the eye so the gaurd can readouts and data from various devices . These devices scan your vehical for any none substance.. it searches the density and volume of unknown objects.. A gamma ray also scans your car and resulting x-ray is shown the the boarder gaurd. he can there for look at the car and for any odd out of place items that may be drugs and such...

they don't make "all these border busts" they just publicize the ones that they do.

a combination of random searches, drug dogs, and heat scores.

think about how heaty a car with 2 underaged males looks heading down to the states for a day trip. even if they were staying for a few days, they seem like the type too stupid to have a hotel booked with proof of booking. etc etc.

They had really tight security going into the USA this afternoon. Checking all trunks and tapping the body panels of the car to see if anything hidden in there.

They asked unusual questions too, trying to catch people such as e-mules who are lying about the purpose of their visit.

I dunno but i do know if i were a border guard i would search the suspect and nervous looking people.

i've never been searched, but we've always had normal reasons for entering the states (and with proof of things, such as plane tickets and itineraries.)
