I was just thinking...
Do you think if the government, in a bid to both restore the historic old Woodwards building in Hastings and help the poor in the surrounding area by asking Woodwards to offer a free clinic equivalent of free quality food to all needy people who can make it there from an in store restaurant that could also feed the general paying public, offered the owners of that building the deal that, under any circumstance, they would not only pay for the basic cost of giving nourishing meals, not one person excluded, but if they didn't meet an agreed upon profit in business in the two years, the gov't would pick up the tab; do you think the owners would go for it? Would the public not also support decent free food to all poor and homeless while shopping in a restored classic downtown department store? That thing looks like a warehouse. It's the closest thing to real culture I've seen east of Saskatchewan. Just thinking...maybe I've walked by it stoned too many times...
