"Bob Marley Fans Not 'Riding High'

Fort Nelson Traffic Services just happened to be in the Buckinghorse area along Highway #97 around the same time as three young men from Saskatchewan who were headed to Dawson City for work on Wednesday, June 7th at 1:05pm.

While flying along at 141 km/hour without a care while listening to the subsidiary beat of Bob Marley, these young men failed to see the police vehicle until it was too late.

Constable Miciuk knew something was amiss when he walked up to the driver's window and heard the Bob Marley tunes blaring and the fact that the driver would only roll the window down a crack to talk to him.

In the end Cst. Miciuk relieved the visitors from Saskatchewan of $5000 worth of marijuana and magic mushrooms, along with a large assortment of other drug related paraphernalia.

The three young visitors from Saskatchewan had their car impounded and spent a couple of days in Fort Nelson as the guests of the RCMP before scraping up enough bail money to secure their release from jail. Needless to say, there is a moral to this story."
