The Hooligans- producer Matt Welch and DJ/producer Terry Ryan had quite a busy 2002, with releases on there home label Botchit & Scarper as well as mixing Botchit compilation's "4 Vini" and "Botchit Breaks 5", a single on 2Sinners label 2S2 and a exclusive single on Tayo's "Y4K- Dread At The Controls" on Distinctive . As well remixes for Unstable Label , and Muti Music . Look out for Atomic Hooligan's first album on Botchit & Scarpe r later this year. DJwise- Terry's been blowing up, headlining alongside breakbeat heavyweights Krafty Kuts, Rennie Pilgrem, and Adam Freeland at the Breakspoll Awards in London as well as touring to Spain, USA, and Canada on a regular basis. Radio guest mixes on Roni Size's "Sounds Of Now" on Ministry Of Sound Radio, KISS FM, and Groovetech, plus regularly hosts the Botchit & Scarper show on Breaks FM. Atomic Hooligan
Hooligan house seems to be all the rage these days in the U.K., with the Audio Bullys' Ego War being hailed as the dance album of the year by breathless British wags. Atomic Hooligan, on the other hand, has nothing to do with that turgid micro trend, strictly churning out hectic break beat anthems for the hardest of heads. Atomic's DJ Terry Ryan drops in to Tribeca on Saturday (June 14), where he'll be spinning up a storm on three decks.
