This summer is turning out to be HUGE for Trance =) Aug.01-Above & Beyond- UK On August 1st,,, 2003... Ascension is proud to present trance legend,,, Above & Beyond. Consiting of three brilliant producers (Jono Grant,,, Tony McGuinness,,, and Paavo Siljamaki),,, Above & Beyond is also know as Oceanlab,,, Free State,,, and The Dirt Devils. Thier record label ANJUNABEATS,,, has released some of the best trance music in the industry over past few years with hits such as Oceanlab- Clear Blue Water,,, Oceanlab- Beautiful Together,,, Nitromethane- Time To Die,,, Aalto- Rush,,, and the infamous Dirt Devils- The Drill just to name a few. Having remixed everyone from Madonna,,, Ayumi Hamasaki,,, to Armin van Buuren,,, Above and Beyond's productions have also been canned by Paul van Dyk and Tiesto,,, and remixed by the likes of Ferry Corsten and Signum. Join us for a night of energetic and melodic uplifting music,,, as we welcome one the biggest names in trance. July 18th-IRISH PETE- UK On July 18th,,, Ascension is proud to present... DJ Irish Pete from London. Pete is a Vancouver favorite,,, and has headlined many memorable shows in Vancouver such as 'Summe Love '99' and Millenium NYE 2001. Pete is a resident @ club U4ria in London and has played across the globe headlining parties from Hong Kong to South Africa. Yes, Above & Beyond are absolutely phenomenal for anyone into the sounds of uplifting trance. They are also incredibly diverse, and have produced a lot of harder tunes under their Dirt Devils guise. Jono Grant has teamed up with numerous people for side projects too, one of the more noticeable ones being with Darren Tate for the tune "Let the Light Shine In". This was one of Tiesto's biggest tunes when I saw him in Montreal a few weeks ago.
Either way, this is an absolute must for the trance lovers of the city.

I've been asking for Above & Beyond to be booked at a party but a club night is just as good.
Time to make a trek out to Viva!

Hey man isn't Irish Pete known as DJ Irish? He'd been running a web-site www.assortedtrance.com for a long time and posted his live sets on there, they became very popular, that's how I recall the name DJ Irish -> also read somewhere he is Irish Pete...
