FRIDAY, FEBUARY 6TH 2004 DJ Preach- ARIA (Montreal) http://www.djpreach.com Biography In 1997 at the tender age of 17, Dj Preach aka Philippe Babin started his career as a DJ. His involvement with major Canadian electronic production companies Old School and Delphinus allowed him to get behind the decks and demonstrate his romping style of Techno and Tech Trance. His musical career did not end there. EP" wich was canned by the likes of BEN SIMS, TIM XAVIER, MATEO MURPHY and MICHEL DE HEY, just to name a few, and was reviewed in MIXER MAGAZINE by MARK EG in the January 2002 issue. Any people been to Viva on a Friday?
I was thoroughly impressed with the sound, lighting, and the music.... but lets just say I was an extreme minority. I didn't really give a shit, i danced all night, in a sea of azn cuties, but i certainly got some strange looks from the bouncers as I went in. (not to mention the crews of Nam-G's) Left just before the lights came on, to avoid having anyone discover my secret identity...(a white dude!) ..i'll be there, pale skin and all! -b- |

i used to play at viva every other weekend last year with greg C.. we used to rock the trance and hard house.. that place used to be bumpin all night long! miss those days when everyone got along, don't know about the wierd looks though, I never really had that problem! If I wasn't playing at sonar i would have probably come out!

I noticed a 'few' more white people than usual last week, but it is Richmond after all. Next time you plan on coming by, drop me a pm or e-mail me and I'll put you on the guest list. Good call on the girls man I tell you have seen some crazy beautiful asian girls come through viva in the past year :trippin: :trippin: :trippin: This will be the first time Preach has played in Vancouver. Remember his name, you'll be hearing it a lot in the future. He is leaving on a tour to Europe shortly after his stay here in Vancouver, so we are lucky to catch him before his trip =) |
