twentyHz & C1rca Present "twentyHz" - Wednesdays @ The Lotus Sound Lounge
This week February 18th SQUEEGEE PUNKS (Futuristic Funk) * The Punks consist of 2 of Canada's top breakbeat DJs- Andrew Spence (formerly DJ Slim) and Czech. As a production team they remixed tracks on Czech's now defunct label Futuristic Funk Records and on former Vancouver label Hard On Music. Andrew is currently in the studio and studying jazz full time plus a busy DJ schedule, while Czech is preparing tracks for our new label "twentyHz Music", playing weekly at twentyHz, & Vivid Sessions Fridays @ Sonar, as well as touring across Canada and abroud. Plus twentyHz NEW resident: MURCUTT (twentyHz, Viroid/ UK) * I believe a little introduction is needed for our new resident Murcutt all the way from the UK. A Vancouver landed alien, Murcutt joins the twentyHz crew for a regular spot in the Wednesday rotation. A former member of the mighty "Viroid" crew in the UK, Murcutt has played alongside some of breakbeats heavyweights including Rennie Pilgrem, Atomic Hooligan and Dee Kline. Cover $5...
