Trance, Progressive House, and Techno every Friday. Weekly residents are DJ's Sean Walsh, Danny Taylor, and Doubledown. Monthly residents include Azim, Montana & Res, REV, Julian, and Patrick Lok. DJ's that have appeared at our night include Above&Beyond (UK), Victor Dinaire (NYC), Preach (MTL), and Brad Copeland (MTL). If you're looking for the best in up front trance and progressive from djs like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, and Paul van Dyk... Ascension is the only place in Vancouver you will hear it. My first timeslot since i moved back finally.
All i can try and do is create more opportunities from the ones that i receive Thanks Danny and Sean!
It's not about the size of the gig but the size of your smile when you start playing!
Hopefully some fnk music lovers will come check me out as i will try and bring something unique to the crowd.
My last gig was opening for jules and tagging with lashes in calgary but i look forward to this one with the same anticipation.
I feel i always bring a vibe with me when i play and that is why crowds in alberta have received me so well.
My affiliations in alberta are with some of the premier production companies www.defstar.ca (cal) Apollo (cal) United (Edm)
as well as my own and now moving back has made me humble to the opprtunites that are here in beautiful Vancouver.

You just have to play more of the progresive goa trance, rather then the normal tweeky/hard shit.

We actually stay away from the hard shit for the most part, but both Danny and myself are feeling some of the more banging Goa stuff these days. If you could recommend a few tunes that'd be great; they're into the psy sound as long as it's thumping and not minimal, hehe.

One track I'm really feeling right now in the psy genre is X-Porters - Back 2 Back.

I love Viva man it rox and when they had the 3 lazers goin that one nite omg was it ever dope shit man I love this nite, the only trance nite on a friday nite and it's always packed...
