Just to let you know...
The brothers Shiloh are from Chillawack, and Maya was the first progressive trance dj in vancouver, even before Kevin Shiu. If you don't believe me talk to Colin yourself ;) . With that said this is going to be one of vancouvers first "Progressive Breaks" events. There are still some FREE!!! promo tickets at Boomtown so get there quick. The guys have told me that they will be playing alot of their own tracks and exclusive tracks from luke chable and gwill morris to name a few. With the changes that have gone on within the scene over the last few years now is the time to identify with "our sound." Westcoast producers are starting to emerge. Representing us by putting Vancouver on the map, globally. And it is with our support, the scene that we all love so much, can blossom with a new life. See you there.

sorry!
Sorry If I disrespected anybody with this post. I was just trying to let people know of Colin's history and in my translation I conveyed the message wrong. My intent was to give people a sense that this show was of deep progressive roots. Full respect to Kevin Shiu! He has been a key icon to the exposure and deliverance of world class progressive house for years. I've talked with Colin about the money it was an honest mistake. We're cool. To be offered a chance to put on this show was a dream come true for me. I usually do one show a year and I admit I go a little nuts (paying a bum to put posters on his bike, giving out over a hundred free tickets, spending a bunch on beers.) The night cost me $400 bucks in the end but It was a small price to pay for the experience. Those guys played the most amazing tunes and were very gounded real dudes. Free of attitude, full of humbility. True professionals. Their music definately represents them well. I hope that with this show I acheived my goal of exposing Vancouver to the new/old sound of progressive breaks. From past response, I feel that I have. Thanks Soda, Priceless, Justin and Colin.
Sincerely, Chris Misener, Lt.Light aka DARK FADER Love.Life.Music. productions |
