I was going to say , wasn't Frankie Bones responsible? That's what I had always understood, he gave birth to it in chicago.

i think frankie bones originated the "chicago house" sound, which is much harder edged then house music.

Frankie Bones brought over the "rave" concept to north america, started doing huge parties

Frankie Knuckles could be said to have brought warehouse "house" sound out from Chicago

jesse saunders was a DJ before hosue even existed...made the first house track eevr pressed on vynil...he is even revered b y the likes, of Sanchez, Knucles , and Todd Terry...

yes Frankie Bones is an originator of the rave scene and techno, he is from NYC not chicago!!

funniest thing is there is a Jesse Saunders and House Music Day in Chicago!!!

man, so many of the electronic legends have come through Sonar Fridays... Juan Atkins, Keoki, Frankie Bones, and now JESSE SAUNDERS! this one is going to be exciting!
