Well the weekly twentyHz Series Wednesdays at the Lotus Sound Lounge is officially closing its doors this September 29th.
It's been a great run over the last year. Many top shows including 2 sold out shows with Adam Freeland in last December and last May.
Rennie Pilgrems Vancouver debut in June exposed the city to one of breakbeats true originators.
Fort Knox Five club debut in July was one of the best nights of music I have ever experienced in all the years i've been clubbing. Vinyl Ritchie followed by Jon H from FKF.... truely inspiring!
Can't forget Tipper for our Canada Day celebration. PACKED house with both the Lotus and Lick going off. Many thanks to the Automatic/ Relick crew for holding down the Lick proper!
We were fortunate to also break some new breaks talent from all over the globe including shows with Chris Carter & Ali B (London), and DJ Love (Texas), as well as hosting some of Canada's top breaks talents including D-Monic, Dave Dub, Influenza, Angus Robinson, Mama Miche, and up-coming this week Torontos Lucy Lytes and long time Toronto resident/ now Vancouver resident Willar X.
Last but not least can't forget our kick ass residents and rotating guests. Czech, Priceless, Murcutt, Shakes week in and week out wicked! Spence, Vinyl Ritchie, OJ, Marky Mark, G-Rock & Lenny Ford all played multiple sets at the night over the last year, as well as all the other local DJs that passed through the night..... mad props.... we got loads of talented breaks DJs in this city. Respect!

So now we got one last month of shows for the night and then we move on to new and exciting things (but I will post what we got in the works soon!).

thanks to all the peeps that have supported the night over the last year. We got something up our sleeve that will help push breakbeat furthur then its ever been in Vancouver. For now support the local scene every Monday for Edit Breaks now at Voda starting September 13th w/ MING & FS!!!
Also the Urban Lounge (upstairs) every Friday at Sonar for Vivid. And Saturdays at Shine for Big Sexy Funk w/ Vinyl Ritchie.

Great job Soda and Pricer' . You guys definately upped the bar in 2004 by bringing the top international talent and giving locals a chance to get out and jam. I would even go as far to say that you guys probably had one of the best breaks nights in Canada! Thanks alot for the chance to bring Shiloh. The show was alot of fun. I wish you all the best for this fall, your record label and 2005. Cheers to the beers! - Chris Misener :+=
