Treavor Walton (aka DJ Treavor) was born in Hollywood in 1974. Raised in his early years in West Los Angeles but moving to the suburbs at age 8, he became a crazy teenager in the wacked out town of West Covina. At age 13 Treavor started playing guitar and in no time he had started a band with his new friend Daniel Chavez (aka DJ Daniel).

After a few years of hard Death Metal, fist fights, mosh pits, and enough psychedelics to properly open up ones mind a bit, Treavor at the end of his high school years was in need of something new, something positive. On Dec 31st 1991 Treavor was told about a big new years underground party in Los Angeles. So Treavor and Heather Schwarz (aka Mama Moontribe) trekked into the city and found something they had no idea even existed, the Los Angeles rave scene. After that it wasn't long before Daniel and another friend and music partner Jason Villalobos (aka Lotus Sutra) caught on to the new found festivals of pure love energy and crazy new music that were down right inspirational (thank you Doc Martin). Before another year had passed Treavor had a sampler and the new musical journey had begun. About one year later in June of 1993, after attending 2 incredible full moon beach parties in santa cruz (thanks to Wicked crew, S.F.), Treavor along with his closest friends and new found family (Cheeze, Skychurch etc.) decided that they needed to put together monthly full moon gatherings of their own - and what a more perfect place for those gatherings than the beautiful Southern California desert.

At this point Treavor was not a DJ. Treavor was into making music and playing it live, which worked for a little while but quickly became a big pain in the neck and within a couple of years, and after moving into the now legendary "Hollywood House," Treavor began his DJ career. At this point in time Moontribe had already become legendary attracting thousands of people each month from all over the world. In may of 1996 Treavor was ready to perform as a DJ, and along with DJ brad, played for his first time at a full moon gathering in front of probably one of the pickiest crowds on earth - the Moontribe Family. Well lets just say that it worked and before too long Treavor was playing every month in the desert. It also didn't take very long for Treavor to become a staple in the Los Angeles underground and rave scenes. Today Treavor is considered one of Los angeles' top DJs and is featured as a headliner at some of the best shows in town. Treavor has has also headlined 4 North American tours including 3 Moontribe tours and the infamous "Parallel Universe Tour" of 1997.Treavor has played with some of the worlds biggest and best DJs/Producers like Eat Static, Banco de Gaia, Derick May, Christopher Lawrence and Taylor (to name a few.)

Treavor is now beginning to hear his name being called from the other side of the world with his first over seas gig this past new years in Morocco and an upcoming show in Germany. Treavor also holds down 2 residencies in Los Angeles with Moontribe and sun-day and a residency in Santa Fe, New Mexico with Cosmic Kids. Perhaps one of the most amazing things about all of this is that Treavor thru all these years has remained one of the main organizers of Moontribe. In almost 8 years Treavor has helped organize well over 100 gatherings in and out of the city. Treavor also played a key role in organizing the 4 Days of Unity rally during the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles last summer, which received front page press in the Los Angeles Times. You would think that one person isn't capable of all of these things, well there's more - In 1999 Treavor along with friends Andrew Morin (aka Lonepine Andrew) and Heyward Bracey (aka Word), started a home grown record label "Lunar Cycle Music " which released Treavor's first solo mix cd "relentless." Recently Treavor has been back to producing new music with people like Brian Golub (aka DJ brian) and good friend Amani. Treavor will have 2 new records available by April 2001.

Treavor's future plans are to get more into remixing, producing again and putting together a new studio as well as focusing on being a solid and versatile DJ which is one thing that hasn't been a problem at all. If there is one word to describe Treavor as a DJ it is "versatile." While most DJs are focused on one type of electronica, Treavor is known to make the barriers between Techno, Trance, House and Breaks seem non- existent often fusing them into one set. This keeps Treavor one step ahead and allows him to be able to play any time of the night at any event.
