I went, I drank a bit, I had fun...
One of my friends was a hair model for Global Salon, and had told me that he was doing this "thing" at The Standard on thursday night... I didn't realize that it was the events were the same until about an hour beforehand. Big ups to Soma, the DJ that I didn't want to throttle :BOB: When I heard the Tiesto mix of Silence by Delerium I thought "oh my god! I've been trance-ported back into early 2001" and promptly had to leave. Thank you for washing it out of my head with a couple of good breaks tracks. Y'know, I really think that with some decent DJs and a bassbin or two, The Standard could be a decent club. They just re-released that track
They have the tiesto and some mix that starts with an F.. its breaks I picked up the above and beyond and on the other side some prog tranc mix. I sure know my trance heh. and ofcourse i have the original pressing :)

it was an interesting night for sure!
think they may do it again in jan sticking to a breaks and house format and I'll make sure they get a few bass bins to fill the room a bit better other than that.. nice work missy, nice work global. BTW very nice to meet you little persia
