VANCOUVER'S LARGEST MONTH IN BREAKBEAT HISTORY: WEEK #1
WHEN: Friday, February 4th, 2005 - doors @ 10PM WHERE: Sonar Nightclub (66 Water Street in Gastown) --- a 19+ event (two pieces of ID required) --- Two rooms of music running till 3AM! Twisted Productions in collaboration with Vivid Breaks is proud to present... -- Masterplan will also be dressing up both the sound and visuals in the main room for this one!!!  Playing a 3 HOUR SET of Hip Hop, Funk and Breaks: --- it's been over two years since he's graced the decks at a club! KRAFTY KUTS - UK, Finger Lickin' Krafty Kuts needs no introduction to us here in Vancouver. He has always brought us the freshest sets of un-released funk that is best described as a Hip Hop funk infusion of up-tempo Breaks and beats. It’s been awhile since he’s played a club set in Vancouver… they are different from what you’ve heard at past parties, they are FULL of funk that keep the dance floor packed – This is why we wouldn’t have him play for less than 3 hours! So either you be into Hip Hop, Funk, Breaks or even DnB, this set is not to be missed. For those of you that don’t know, Martin Reeves, a.k.a. Krafty Kuts, can truly be recognized as a member of the Breakbeat elite. Along with other high profile figures such as Adam Freeland, Rennie Pilgrim, Freq Nasty and the Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts has been instrumental in pushing the Breakbeat sound to a world wide audience. He was voted Best International DJ at the Australian Dance Music Awards, the Face of Breaks 2003 and also had the Best Remix for Afrika Bambaataa’s “Funky Heroes” at the 2003 International Breakspoll Awards. Today, Krafty Kuts is still working harder than ever – his discography speaks for itself. Krafty is presently working on his debut solo album on Against the Grain featuring collaborations with Tim Deluxe, Freq Nasty and the Scratch Perverts, among others. In the words of Krafty himself, the album’s going to be a monster!
