Vancouver is planning a "Safe Queer Youth Prom" at Heritage Hall on Main St. mid July and qUeer View Mirror is hosting the first event to raise awareness and funds for this gala evening. "DJ's have started to contact us to donate thier time ... performers are doing the same ... we what to ensure that this is a prom that everyone can be proud of."
The first in a series of fundraising efforts will be taking place at LICK - 455 Abbott St. on Saturday March 12 - a Drag / Burlesque / Toga / Bathrobe / Dance Party - everyone welcome (keep in mind this is a night club so ya have to be of legal age to get into this fundraiser) !!!! So come out, show your support, wear a toga or a bathrobe, dress like a gladiator (or just come as you are!!!) enjoy the show and dance yer socks off!!!
