Club Choices
Club Choices Archives Fixed Fridays Publish Date: 3-Mar-2005 Friday at The Met (320 Abbott Street) Drum ’n’ bass nights are typically beholden to the demands of the dance floor, but this weekly steers left of the usual formula, giving the punters somewhere to chill with the music turned down. This Friday (March 4), Fixed residents Bias and Shamus welcome two of the city’s baddest selectors, Kuma & Eve. As hosts of 102.7 CFRO’s Art of Beatz (which airs Thursdays at midnight), these two are known for their deep crates and brash mixing styles, so while the marquee says drum ‘n’ bass, there’s no telling what they’ll spin when the needles run into the red. Plus: $2 pints all night long. Respect to the crew and to the guests. Hope you guys finalised your plans to get beers cause that shall be a very hard task. ha was just about to post. It looks like someone is excited.
Did you right that club pick of the week in the straight too Kuma?? Big ups to all who came down last week for Nora Dawn. It was one of our best shows yet. Special thanks to all the supporters. |

Of course I'm excited Toby, we're roadtesting stuff for our series of gigs in Atlanta next month so we're stoked to see how Vancouver reacts. As for the club pick, you can thank Martin Turenne for that most likely, I have no pull with the straight whatsoever. |
