I just wanted to echo a post that put up on Trance Addict as quite a few people were pissed off with how quickly tickets sold and as a result, blame Twisted for this.
To set things straight, here is what's up: Let me first highlight a few things: 1.) This show is both a Plush AND Twisted show… from DAY ONE I have said that in all of my posts and in all cases, put Plush BEFORE Twisted in the billings. Having said that, Twisted just one promoter involved in ultimately selling tickets and promoting the show. So… what does that mean, well it means Plush had COMPLETE control of the number of tickets released. In fact, the delay in releasing tickets out to Vancouver stores was Plush’s in getting these tickets printed NOT TWISTED’s. To further, we don’t even have control over ticket pricing, sound and even lighting of this show. Twisted is simply assisting with the promotion of this PvD show. 2.) 400 pre-sale tickets were released to Clubvibes. This literally sold out in a week’s time. After that point, 50 tickets were then released to each store all of which un-predictably sold out in record time. Why? Although Twisted had asked for there to be a limit to the amount of tickets sold to each person, it is difficult for the stores to police this. As a result, the tickets in stores were purchased in bulk very quickly. This was further amplified by the fact PvD himself hasn’t been here in ages and people are extremely excited to see him. 3.) Learn to trust systems like Clubvibes. The reality is they are a legal, registered company with fiscal, financial and moral responsibilities to the public. If in anyway you are ripped off, you can report this activity to your credit card company and even the Better Business Bureau. Please do not bitch at us, if in your mind, you don’t trust Clubvibes.com as they were an exclusive ticket partner for this show… Again, Plush choose them to be this partner, not Twisted. Clubvibes is a business entity and is not just a bunch of punks running a PC in a garage. They are a legitimate business. Cheers. |

well said.
I took advantage of the convience of online ticket sales because I knew that they would sell out fast. I was shocked when PVD was announced! and I wasn't going to miss this show. If he didn't play here, I know everyone would be down in Seattle. No one can blame Twisted for this. People just don't want to have to miss a show because of their own lack of organization to buy tickets, they didn't trust clubvibes.com, and they didn't get to the stores in time. It was never said that there would be private sellers, only clubvibes and stores. At this point, if anyone wants a ticket, are there going to be door sales? and I know that the ticket buyers that bought bulk will be outside the show selling tickets! |
