Being "semi-retired", I've had the luxury of sleeping-in for the last couple of weeks.

For the last couple of weeks, I've been awakened/shocked by loud, thumping (((BOOOMS))) happening from somewhere downtown.

It's a muffled sound (so, it's not surface-level, nearby me), so, I'm wondering if it's maybe underground excavation for the new transit route.

Anyone else noticed this?

Any other opinions/ideas/explanations?

I mean, it actually shakes shit around in my apt!

there's some construction on smithe and seymour i believe, which is really close to your apartment. That's probably what you're hearing.
