BLIM @ automatic tonight!!!!!!!!
OK, not too many people know about this one, in fact we just heard about it tonight, but this is a show that you don't want to miss......Automatic presents B.L.I.M. rocking vancouver's longest running drum and bass night with a special breaks set. Producing for over a decade, with releases on labels like Botchit and Scarper, TCR, Hooj Choons and legendary drum and bass label SOUR, BLIM is one of the leaders of the nu-breaks movement, and he's collaborated with acts such as Rennie Pilgrim, Meat Katie, Freq Nasty and others. Well worth a Tuesday night, so come on down, The Lotus Sound Lounge, 455 Abbott st. at Pender. With residents Matty, Jay-Auto, Effect, guest DJ Familiar.....and all for our regular cover of just $5.....holy crap!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRR! Blim was supposed to play at One Lounge on Monday night here. Unfortunately he never made it! ARGH! Definately was a lacking Monday night since Blim never showed up! Would have loved to see Blim play for sure!!! Argh! (I'm jealous!)

yeah, it was kind of weird at automatic, about half the people were really digging it, and about half of them were wondering when the drum and bass was going to start up again......all about the happy medium i guess, but if i had my choice it would have just been a straight up breaks night........grrrr to close-minded people
