MP1 Saturday July 27th

Global djs, Soulpropriators and H2O productions are proud to announce that on July 27th we will be having the third installment of our summer series, to be called MP1!!! Along with having a brand new venue this time around, we are very pleased to announce that we have confirmed the booking of one of the top female House Djs in Canada, the one and only... Dj Leanne!!!!! In addition we have a wicked lineup 30 other of Vancouvers best up and comming dj talents presented on 3 stages, each featuring its own style of diverse electronic music. the full line up and times are posted further down in this thread.... hope to see alot of people out saturday with goodvibes and big smiles

i think when he said new venue, he meant new venue for them. ie: it's not at the same old place.

Besides which, there ARE NO NEW VENUES. Vancouver has run out of new venues to offer the scene, and basically all music in general. If you people REALLY desperately need a new venue so bad, either get a job, raise some money, and build your OWN venue, or move to another city. Otherwise, shut the hell up.

I went to a few new venues over the last little while...

wharehouses and such, places that you bug the guys enogh they'll let you use it....

having a brand new venue i think is something all organizers/promoters have going on in their head... when we brainstorming for this party we were also coming up with ideas for future parties as well ( we have a few ideas already across already ) , some do able, some possible, some out of mind, and some that would be so fucking cool but you would need a lot of moolah....since we ( globaldjs, soulpropriaterz, and h20) are fairly low budgeted, and relatively new at this, we are still learning. i get the feeling however from reviews of bp2 that people had fun and found the feeling " ol skool". i did too, i have only been partying for 4 years and a bit but i have seen changes in the scene not as drastic as many others have seen but gradual. besides getting of the point ( which i dont know anyways) mp1 will promise you nothing......you saw our no gimmicks at the last one....it was very basic.....the point of it was to get people to gether to listen to similar likings to music selection , play it really fawking loud and have a good time.....you , whoever came to it added to the party....the bonfires.....the dancing.....the good vibe....dont go if you think you may have something bad to say about mp1 but go there with a attitude of curiousity and anxiety.
if you feel like you wanna fire dance at it , or mc , or b-boy go right ahead....bring tents.....tiki torches.......lights.....you name it ....just no bad vibes....and nothing that would endanger the scene......

They wont allow it... We pleaded with the owners and offered them 4X of what they wanted.. Still, they said the city would shut down thier buisness if they did..

it's not about a 36 minute drive is it?........if it is, please try and keep it a bit more underground. respect that other people have been throwing stuff there for years, and don't drag up so many people that the cops come......

K guys we have found a new place and guys this place is tight!
K its gonna be bout 35 min drive from downtown Vancouver. Sorry guys thats all i can tell you right now. Yes there are gonna be 2 stages like last time and maybe a 3rd if all works out well we will have a 3rd stage. Ill be getting back to you guys within a couple days with the DJ line up. So keep the july 27th weekend off cause you dont wanna miss out on this.

K guys this will be a check point system party due to limited parking. So stay tuned to info line for updates!

Its close to one week left. So come early if ya want a dope parking spot after that we fill it up, there will be most likely a shuttle bus for a small fee.

MP1 UPDATE
K guys one more week away till Mountain Project. So yeah party will be starting early at 9 pm so get there early if you want to get a dope parking spot. dont for get check point system in affect and shuttle operational from the check point in squamish. So guys there will be one trip available from Van in the day and one back the morning for the way back. 24 seats available. SO email [email protected] your info and stuff if you want in
