uhh your judging on how loud people yell for the contestant? if so dont you think people entering would bring there friends and be like " yo dawgs , bring a megaphone and your sister and her little freinds and fucken yell when they say my name!!" if that is the case i highly suggest taking a diffrent approch on it. instead of judging by populairty rating how bout technicallity? stage performance etc etc. just my oppinion though.

Manos;
I tried and tried and tried to think of a way that we could have it be judged some quantifiable way so nobody got upset at the end. Unfortunatley, appointed judges will have different tastes and may not like a particular performance because it's too hard or too slow which will affect their opinion. Its a tricky situation because everybody has a musical taste, friends who are affiliated and musucal preferences, lets not even mention "raver politics" stories. Everybody is allowed to "stack the deck" in their favour fairly. Contestants can bring as many 19+ people as they want in for free at 9pm when they arrive to get checked in and have their times assigned. Obviously as many people as the club can hold can come into the place, and many more (club has an average of 300-600 attendance on Friday night in the other side) come every single Friday. Cheer competitions are also a fun way to get the crowd involved, escpecially with alchohol. I can almost feel my voice getting hoarse already. I'm assuming on a fair crowd, since there will be contestants from two categories each night, and its all in good fun. Just because one of my friends is entered doesnt mean I wont scream for someone else that does a bang-up job. Theres no $$ involved so its not like peeps can "split the profits". At anything like this theres a way for people to cheat (ie. keep their mouths shut until only when their friends cheer-meter is being read) the system. But since its all for fun, I doubt that will happen and I think everyone will have a great time. :) |

well lets hope for no brawls. It makes me sick to think of 150 ravers duking it out with pokemon dolls, glow sticks, and candy whips. While a picture of it would be priceless, I'm sure the owner of the club would be a bit perplexed and want to know if I was flyering the mental institutions. :D
But crowd participation always roxx, whether its screaming and yelling, dancing, or just contributing to a great vibe. Lets have one helluva frickin party! :) |

demystified!
a loudness contest encourages djs to bring people, which would fill up the night. any judging based on technical merits would be silly, since there is no prize and no real title, it's just a gimmick. just explaining how everything works here. |

i like how he keeps referring to the crowd as ravers...
ravers don't rhyme, they put E in their mouth and hug ravers don't MC, they hiss and complain when an MC clutters their trance music ravers don't beatbox, juggle, or scratch too much... you're gonna have an ugly crowd if any crowd at all... i've got dibs on 40 can'tbe hardcore surrey homo's i know being there, and they don't believe in friendly competition... i wouldn't call that a "shitload of fun" |
