automatic brings you a special little out of town treat,
DJ FIVER (Simple Tings/Empathy/Ottawa) This guy holds down two residencies out in O-dot, with a Wednesday night called "Class", and a Friday night called "High noon "that sounds like a wicked concept, listen to this: "my Empathy residency is called "High Noon" - it's a kind of DJ competition that we run every Friday; 16 DJs go head to head single-elimination style for 15 weeks until one is crowned the champion. winners are decided through a balloting process - one admission buys you a vote... and every drink you buy @ the bar gets you another vote. it's basically a huge drinking competition with music thrown in. >grins<" sounds like an automatic kind of party!!! anyways, it's Tuesday Oct. 22, at automatic, The Lotus Sound Lounge, 455 Abbott st. at Pender, and we're going to keep it at the regular cover, $5 cheers jay-auto
