That's an OK line-up IMO,,, but then again I have diffrent taste in muzic than you.
Jon Bishop will get everyone that still likes HH to come out,,, but I don't know how many people that is these days. I used to LOVE harhouse and there was a time when I would have been jumping up and down if I saw his name at a party,,, truth is that is just doesn't do it for me anymore. I'd say that's 50/50 chance on JB. Mark Sanchez- Never herad of him before. Malicious Mike- I've heard of him before and I know he's all about the Florida breaks. My opinion isn't really useful here because I don't have much interest in Florida breaks,,, but I'm sure lots of the kids would be happy with this one. I think I know what party you guys are talking about here,,, just make sure you think carefully about what people want to hear and who is actually going to put out the $$$ to support your guys' show. peace and good luck! I had an investor that was interested in doing a show at Riverside,,, we did the budget and I'm sure you know what little margin there is to make money in that place these days. We could have gone ahead with the show if we guaranteed the investor that he wouldn't lose money. Now factor in the fact that whatever profit was made would be split 50/50 between them and us. So basically there was no sure shot way I could guarantee that show would not lose money. Even if it did make money,,, it's hardly enough for the amount of money the investor was putting up. I had a line-up that I was confident would sell-out. Maybe it's just my thinking,,, but in the end I decided against doing the show. The line-up would have been...
Ingo BK -and- a breaks or jungle headliner. I think it would cost the same to book those guys as the line-up that you're thinking of doing,,, but also I have a bit of a credit with Ingo. Now neither Ingo or BK would be my first choice of DJ's that I would want to see,,, but I think most people in Vancouver would get excited about that. Now throw in someone like Capital J,,, or like you suggest Malicious Mike and think you'd have a very successful party. ~just my 2 cents~ |
