Is there a solution for the lack of parties?
I was just reading over THC and there seems to be a serious lack of upcoming events.
What can be done to rectify this problem? My 2 cents.. Promoters should team up to throw smaller shows. - people would come to support their fav production team. - the events would sell out - promotion and expenses would be less (If the show lost money, it would be split by how many prod teams involved)) - less competition - better dj line-up(can afford an out of towners) - more chances for new upcoming dj's - good tunes, good people = good times =-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=- Why is it soo complicated?? keep it simple and have fun!! discuss.

(^) Easy solution is to get ID and go to club nights =)
If you want to see more raves... well I don't know I only really want to throw about 1 or 2 a year personally. As for working with other production teams it can work but is often not worth the hastle. A properly budgeted event should be able to break even (my last 5 or 6 have) and contrary to what you said there is less room for new DJ's because every production team has residents they have to book. The only problem is that there isn't a lot of venues that are willing to let people throw "ILLEGAL RAVES!" Any way just my 2 cents...

Hey Ninewells...
If I had Maki's like yourself,,, I'd be throwing parties at my house every weekend. Seriously,,, I've had more fun partying at my own house while playing my own records and listening to my friends play thier records than I do at most parties/clubs these days. Just ask Retro or Kaos about some of the parties that I've had,,, my neighbors never call the cops. peace/

Not as if any of the parties on Team Hardcore would catch my attention anyways...
I don't see a problem with it, I think there are plenty of parties to go around, just because there isn't like four or so every weekend anymore... Then again, I was never the type to go to parties every weekend so it doesn't really bother me. However, you must keep in mind that every promoter has a different and outlook on what they want their parties to be like, conflict will arise and it'll go back to the way it was. I can see plenty of problems to why this idea would go wrong. Then again it's not like any promoters are really all that different anymore. Meh.

fuck if we had more parties..
my weekends would be too busy... (cause some dumb ass always drags me along.. some how) personally I like how things are..(though I dont like how fights are starting to breakout) a change... umm.. I dont think these stupid ravers could handle another one.. HA

back to topic i think to have possibly 2 or 3 different promoters throwing a party, for example us at hipnotik were thinkin about throwin a party in january and i would probably talk to doh boy and ive already spoken to double j about possibly dooin somethin together and all handle different aspects and since hipnotik will do it more for promotion rather than money and double j is down for gettin his name out too and scotty just likes to have a good party, it wouldnt be an expensive show and we could possibly bring in someone big (ex aquasky) you would get different groups of people out and like sebcoe said it would result in more fun and a possible sellout but there isnt as much money to go around and that leads back to the down side is that isnt enough constant interest as far as an every week rave goes but if you had a really good one for cheap once a month that would be awsome p.s (i have bad punctuation)
