Their music is best described as accelerated breakbeats with funky basslines, startling crescendos, and unexpected drops. From the instant success of their debut single, "Keep Hope Alive," through their chart-topping full length LP, "Vegas", and more recently their mixed CD, "Community Service" - this duo has lead the West Coast breakbeat sound. Those who witnessed their DJ set at USC's 6 Year Anniversary can expect another unforgettable Crystal Method performance. The “Aftershock” Album tour featuring APHRODITE – Aphrodite Recordings / Urban Takeover – UK 2:30am – 4:00am DJ Aphrodite aka Gavin King, is the man behind the Aphrodite Recordings empire. The London-based DJ/producer began his musical career in 1988 during England's Acid House clubbing explosion. He eventually became known for pushing the jump-up jungle sound with his self-produced tracks and DJ sets. Aphrodite's wildly-popular remixes for the Jungle Brothers ("Jungle Brother") and the Luniz ("I Got 5 On It") helped bring his sound to the masses. This long-time ambassador of jungle music will once again grace your ears with the freshest UK tunes. TAJ – USC / Spundae / www.taj.com - SF 11:00pm – 12:30am An original USC resident, Taj needs no introduction in Seattle. The San Francisco native and Spundae resident has made a habit of rockin our events.
