Automatic, Proper, and Spectrum Events present: DJ SUV (Full Cycle, V Recordings, UK) and STAMINA MC (Movement, V Recordings UK) Tuesday February 18th Automatic, The Lotus Sound Lounge 455 Abbott St. DJ SUV has roots that run deep in to the heart of drum and bass. With over 10 years under his belt, SUV has made an impact as part of the legendary Bristol-based V Recordings/Full Cycle/Dope Dragon family which includes the likes of RONI SIZE, DIE, and KRUST. SUV is also an integral part of RONI SIZE'S "Reprazent" live act, handling precussion, effects, and turntable duties. He has a list of quality releases that includes several hit tunes such as "Now is the Time" and "Do You Remember Me" with MC Tali. He is known for working outside of the standard d&b rhythms and produces some varied and experimental works heavily influenced by latin, hindi, dub, and other divergent styles. Last time he was in town he wowed the crowds with his precise mixing, amazing programming, and a box of tunes that included many that still haven't seen wide release...and then he made a surprise appearance the next night and stunned a small group of "in-the-know" heads with a completely different set than the night before. Needless to say, a true master. Alongside SUV will be MC STAMINA, one of the best of a new crop of jungle MC's coming out of the UK, and resident at the most prestigious club in the UK, MOVEMENT, where he plays alongside the like of Movement residents Marky, Patife, Ray Keith, and Bryan Gee. STAMINA lent his vocal stylings to Marky and Patife's smash hit of the last year "LK" (It's the Waaa-aaa-aaay...) with local guests Jay-Auto, Matty, Wood and Link. $13 pre-sales at Futuristic Flavour, Boomtown, Vinyl Lab, Zion's Gate, and Hypnotix. $17 at the door. DJ SUV interview
