Big Beat Boutique A monthly Firday night dedicated to UK Big Beat and Funky Breaks Friday Jan 17 @ Tribeca 19+ $5 cover *no cover for Breakers Grooverobber Upon special request Groovy with be rocking one of his almost legendary oldschool breaks sets..."throw your hands in da air"! Precise Bringing out the funk like no other AWOL I'll be taking it back to the oldschool with some of the rarest funk and breakbeat in my crate TyHC Part owner of Hipnotik Records, Ty's unique blend of funky electro and newschool is making him one DJ to watch out for. I started this club night due to the fact that you couldn't go out on a friday night and hear all breaks all night. There are D&B nights, House nights, Downtempo nights. But no breaks nights. That's what I like and I think breaks are so diverse that you could play them all night and not realize it. I want to bring back a taste of the oldschool funk and let people cut loose in a laid back enviroment. So Big Beat Boutique is started and will be held one Friday night a month, focusing UK Big Beat (Skint style) and Funky Breaks.
