HEARTWORM -nyc
taking perverse pleasure in making "difficult" music, new york's crown prince of noise throws down juicy slabs of auditory bliss for the discerning ear. from the coma inducing ambient soundscapes and spastic, brain-churning drum$bass to stomping techno experimentation and tense, free-form minimalism. as a founder of both the slum.org collective and opiate records, the heartworm has organized countless events in the nyC area (including the long running opiate records weekly) and has dJ'd and performed alongside such acts as panacea, ed rush and optical, genesis-P.orridge, warp record's richard devine, noisex and many more. he has released a critically acclaimed album on digital hardcore recordings, as well as numerous releases on aklass records, double threat recordings, nexialist and the slum.org imprint.

thanks for your interest nolan...aight, apart from delving into the areas of "coma inducing ambient soundscapes and spastic, brain-churning drum$bass to stomping techno experimentation and tense, free-form minimalism" and self-described "weird breakcore", expect it to be heavier than http://www.form-kaos.com/board/showt...threadid=23420 "heavy" ;) ..heh heh..although it's not a free party, Heartworm will be a glimpse into the underground European teknival-informed NYC "free tekno" subculture of combination "hard tek", hardcore, ragga, dub, etc. parties... both Heartworm and No Core have http://mp3.com pages

5 live pa's fer $5..all using outboard gear (4 exclusively), with Experiencing Difficulty's electro-acoustic set up (electronics, pvc didg, tape loops and more) being used by 3-5 person team of improvisors ..locals E.D. and Bad Feng Shui will likely offer a contrast to the breakcore/noisecore/idm focus of our out of town guests
