These two outstanding bands from France and Germany produce some of the most innovative and progressive dark electronic music around today. Simultaneously challenging and rhythmic, they defy labels such as electronica and powernoise and create something entirely new. 'XB-33' by Mlada Fronta is arguably the current #1 dancefloor filler in the dark club scene of Vancouver, sucking virtually everyone in within earshot with it's blend of lazy tablas, pulsing synth lines and relentless beats. Remy from Mlada and Jerome from Mimetic have promised a completely atypical but utterly dancefloor-friendly performance utterly unlike the majority of what this city has previously been exposed to.
