Shattered... FREE Party this Sat. (28th)
First off I just wanna say thanx to those of you who've helped out with the carpooling in order to get people up to the venue.
That said there a few things I'd like to address. I've heard from a fair amount of people in the last week or so saying they aren't attending because the venue is too far away. I'll let you guys know now it is NOT at mile 36 and it IS an hour outside of downtown Vancouver (I know because I've timed it myself the few times we've gone up). I'd love to be able to throw an all night event in the heart of Vancouver but as we all know it's near to impossible. Since we've spent close to a $1000 on this event we wanted to be as sure as we possibly could that it won't be busted, hence why we aren't doing it at some place like Foreshore Park. We're putting a ton of production into this as usual. We'll have huge sound and big lights not to mention some great visuals thanx to Lush Plush. That's another reason we're throwing this party outside of Vancouver... with the amount of production we have we'd have to do it indoor (which we can't afford) or in the bush. This is a FREE event as I'm sure you all know by now with out of town talent because we're trying to give you guys something different then the same old jungle party with the same old locals. This is also going to be Ryan's (greenwire) going away and birthday party. As some of you know Ryan's moving to the island on July 2nd for a job with the Institute of Ocean Sciences (an amazing opportunity to say the least). It's also his birthday the following weekend so we're rolling it all up into one. I know for a fact he'd love to see as many of you guys as possible before we leaves. We (Ryan and myself aka Smashed Productions) love putting on these shows just as much as we've heard you guys love attending them but it can't go on without your support... so please try to come out it's not as far as you think it is and it's sure as hell worth the drive.
