This is going to rule! I've seen mux, koolatron++, pleasure frequency and tom play a bunch of times. They kick some serious techno. Plus, Lace headlining and the Pound guys taking over the second room... I couldn't imagine a better evening.
Not to mention all the hot EastVan chicks and Pod6-ers that will be attending. I'm getting there early for this one. See you all there! ~in/san|ty~ |

Stardeck Academy...
9:30 – 10:20 --- Akeel (Breaks/House) Known more for his drumming, Akeel's fast hands serve him well in the mix and on the cut. This rising star took the reins on Thursday nights at The Drink and now runs "Shape" every week. 10:20 – 11:10 --- Dennydub (House) Hi... umm... We're POUND, and we let this guy play House music. For those of you who do know us well, that's reason enough to come hear him play. For those of you who don't know us well, you will after tonight. 11:10 – 12:00 --- Filthy Fingers (House /Electro-Breaks) This filthy bastard doubles as POUND's front-man whenever "Susie's Night Out" is in the hizzy. He knows where the party is. 12:00 -12:50 --- Emannuel Ferreira (Breaks) What can we say about a guy who is practically a resident DJ at a massive club in Taiwan, having played 4 gigs there on two separate occasions? The always humble, Emmanuel Ferreira, is one of the best we've got. 12:50 – 1:40 ---Fluid (Dark Breaks/Jungle) Three names in this world-class city are synonymous with "Breaks". This is one of them. He is a master of the turntables and a sonic jihadist. Every set is an innovative aural experience for the listener. 1:40 – 2:30 --- Phase 3 vs. Verbal Assassin (Jungle) Mic check 1, 2... This is how jungle is supposed to sound. If you don't like it, fuck you. This night will also feature the return of MC Ruckus. For those of you who don't remember Matt, not only is his flow sick, he's also a very genuine guy. For the past year or so he's been hiding in his own head, surfacing only to write down an album's worth of lyrics. After his hands warm up on the decks, Akeel, POUND's perfunctory percussionist, will slide over to the electronic hand drums. Your host and resident vocal dub technician: The inimitable... subliminal one... MC NeutrixX. I'll be at the bar, SPK < /ego> |
