automatic summer business update
So here's the "what up" for the next little while from your friendly neighbourhood dnb night, Automatic. All dates Tuesday nights unless otherwise stated.
aug. 12 KAMANCHI with KRUST, DIE, and MC TALI, oh my god they ROCKED it!!!!! this gets my vote as my favourite automatic show EVER, beating out bad company, john b, and shy and skibba....... aug. 19 SLIP AND SLIDE how sick was this one as well? great turn out, and the boys laid down the tunes, let's keep it flowing for next week! aug. 26 DROID and MC EVADER drop by to lay down some business, these two guys rocked it last time, expect more of the same. Automatic, 2 Guerilla, and Next present a end of the summer back to school jam: CLASH 7:PUNK'D Sunday August 31, 9 pm-4am The Picadilly Pub, 620 West Pender Drum and Bass, Breaks, and Hip-Hop with your rotten selectors Matty aka "Ratty" Jay-Auto aka "J Oughta" Dana D aka "Braina Damage" Vanilla Priceless aka "Vinyl Worthless" Spilt Milk aka "Rotten Cheese" + special guests, and drink specials all night long $8 before 12, $10 after OY OY OY!!!!!! sept. 02 JOHN B (METALHEADZ, BETA, FORMATION UK) John B's appearance at Automatic last January went down as one of the hottest, sweatiest, craziest, sold out Automatics on record. Mr. Juan absolutley destroyed the dancefloor, keeping the packed house bumping 'til the wee hours. He's touring on the strenght of TWO new albums of material, one of harder drum and bass a la "UP ALL NIGHT' and "PROWLER", and one of more electro oriented tunes such as "ELECTROFREAK" and "BLUE EYESHADOW" Back to School madness!!! http://www.beta-recordings.co.uk/ sept. 09 Residents night with Jay, Matty and guests.....it's been like a month since we've gotten behind the decks for a good long burn, and we're fiending.......gonna tear it up!!!!! sept. 16.......OSC? sept. 23 SOUND MURDERER (REWIND/VIOLENT TURD Detroit) Head of Rewind records, Sound Murderer specializes in old-school ragga jungle mash-ups and dancehall throwdowns. His "Wired for Sound" mix cd on Kid 606's Violent Turd recordings is one of the most insane jungle mixes of the last 10 years, comprising a staggering 60 tracks on 69 minutes.
