Same djs week in, week out. Why dont the smaller parties bring in the better talent vancouver has to offer? Why play the same rotation of $50 djs? Seems like every party has the same people playing. I only see 2 other promoters changing it up and those are the parties that are worth going out to go check.
Sorry for the rant but I feel this is contributing factor to why most small parties are stale these days.

That'd be because we don't have a very good network of dj's in vancouver that play out at clubs (just the same ones over and over again) [atleast in comparison to other cities where there are dozens of dj's fighting to be the best] and not enough crowd to support the new guys. well, it's not that we don't have a large enough crowd, because lets face it, vancouver has music running in our veins, we just don't have supporters who help promote our local talent. frankly, promoters are too afraid to try out new things because change means $$$ and change doesn't garauntee the people will show. infact, people don't like change.
it's sad.
