You're not the promoter? Why is it you who was posting the Steve Lawler night? I went to that show, paid money and supported you guys. You need learn how to talk to people you fucking goof ball. You also need to learn how to deal with your emotions a little bit better than to shit talk anytime someone talks smack to you.

I was one of the promoters for the steve lawler show along with many others. Although the boxing day event is a teamR3 show i have nothing to do with its planning, inception or implementation other then playing and posting my own opinion on forums such as this. (hence why this was posted by R3)
i dont need you telling me how to talk to people or how to promote any event i'm involved in. I've seen your posts and any event that you deem not worthy to your standards you criticize. This boxing day event is specifically for those people that want to hear more breaks (yet there is house!)...not you whining about what you want or isn't to your liking. There's a house night every day of the week in this city with 4 other house shows happening on boxing day - yet you feel you need to bring this event down since its not catered to your taste. As a promoter i dont see the need to kiss your ass or anyone elses simply to make a buck. If i wanted to make money, i wouldn't be a dj let alone a promoter. I'm sorry if you were expecting some sort of kiss ass reply in an effort to make you feel good about supporting R3 in the past. And in all honesty, thank you for coming out to that show - the production and talent was world class and i'm sure you feel you got your $15 bucks worth. But do not expect me to sit here and watch you slag another event just because you dont like florida and nu skool. I'm a vocal opinionated person and thats not how i do things. Although we're not sure that we should respond to all this crap...we're going to anyways...
Akeel is NOT one of the promoters for this show...For reasons you can see. Although he is a pain in the ass...he's a excellent DJ and this is why we book him for show's like this and holds a residency at our weekly club night at the Drink. We decided to do house and breaks at this night for 2 simple reasons...We've had many people ask us for Nu Skool and Florida breaks... and we've also had lots of people asking us to get Hrishee and Lidster together again to lay down their pimpin house. More so then anything else... So we decided to do both on the same night. We figured the variety would be good for the event. Jiggy1 we do thank you for coimg to the Lawler and hope you had a great time like everyone else that night... We work hard at putting together quality events....even if it's not some huge out of town headliner. There will be many more shows coming your way from us...and just to recap..this is just some of what we've done Solace 2000,2001,2002 and 2003. This year is it will be even bigger and better...and still free Dig Dug (Sea)@ the Drink Bajwa & Anderson (UK) @ The Drink Steve Lawler (UK), Mark Oliver (TO) @ The Drink Dj Jakub (Sea) @ The Drink In the new year we have more talent coming from Florida and across Canada. AKeel, that was soo emotional, and hit soo many people in the heart! lol! big up akeel! and jiggy I just hope you see where we are coming from... certain companies can only do soo much in the ways of impressing people and making them happy. It's hard making eveyone happy, if you or anyone else can do it.. all the best to you. you will have a lot of other people beat by a long shot. till then we'll keep doing our best to please the people we have and hopefully will in the future!
