IMPORTANT-those who are going to Spooky
To those who are going to Spooky and are needing tickets and don't want to buy them at stores because their more expensive. Just to let you know I believe there are counterfeit tickets going around so I urge you to buy your tickets at stores or from people you trust and know are real =O)
Has anyone here bought a fake ticket for some rave and did not get in? How was the experience? It happened to a few friends of mine who were all hyped up and excited about the New Years Rave and was just 3 seconds away from the door than when they had to get their tickets checked. They were fake. They couldn't believe it. All that lining up for 4 hours in the cold and didn't get in. How shitty is that? Erica- Remember this happened at Nasty as well?. I was so choked. I had to work at the door for hours. All I did was burn tickets and shit. I fucken hate it when ppl sell counterfeit tickets. People who get caught are going to jail. It's serious. Promoters can loose a shit load of money if this happens and this happened at Iimix. :snyx: Thumbs down to counterfeit tickets everyone :) Last edited by powerpuffys*; Sep 26, 01 at 10:50 PM. |

People who sell counterfeit tickets are DEFINITELY hurting. I remember for Heartbreaker, somebody msged me and asked me what the ticket looked like. I told him it was a wristband, and he was SO choked cause he just bought 7 TICKETS from some random dude. So yeah, save yourself the trouble and pay those extra few bucks and buy it from the store...or buy it from someone you trust/have bought tickets from various times before.

While I'm against counterfeit tickets...
Its a bit a dark message to promoters that parties are getting too expensive.
It really sucks that people would burn the promoters that way (I hope it never happens to us! :) ) I'm not saying that promoters neccessarily are overcharging (although I think some unnamed ones may be, I'm totally not going to speculate on who) maybe the productions themselves are just getting too big and expensive? Theres an unquantifiable pricepoint cost/benefit equation where this kind of crap will start happening. The higher the price goes, the more counterfeit tickets and people trying to sneak in we'll see. And the more money promoters will lose, sending parties into the spiralling dark abyss where none of us want them to go. When I first started partying, I dont even remember many people trying to sneak into the party. I'm sure at that time counterfeit tickets were a minor concern (it will always be there). But as we see parties starting at $45 and going to $60 or higher its so totally worth it for counterfeiters to try. Also more likelihood of people buying the tickets to save money even though they might be sketchy about it. I'm all for $15 early, $20 near, $25 week of and $30-$35 at the door. I'm a bit outraged by $45 a month early, $50-60 near, and $60+ at the door. I'm sure theres people who can even afford the tickets counterfeiting them just based on principle at those rates. anyways... my message: promoters: cut costs and charge less for your tickets counterfeiters: stop it so they can! peacout |
