end of summer things to do.
hey all,
end of summer is fast approaching, so before it is all over, here are some things you can do: - Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004: Festivus 2004 - Squamish - Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004: Water World (Passion) - Rowing Club - Friday, Sept. 3, 2004: Retrobass (Homebass) - CiTR 101.9fm - Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004: Lotus Long Weekend 1 year Anniv. - Lotus/Honey ---------------------------------------------------------- Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004: Festivus 2004 - Squamish http://www.thefreshpage.com/festivus2004.html ---------------------------------------------------------- Want to check out an outdoor party to end your summer on a high note? Well, look no further; Festivus 2004 is where you need to be! I am not kidding. Located in the beautiful squamish area, and with a STELLAR DJ line up and a crowd that is guaranteed to be vibey and mature, this is got your name alllll over it :) AND I am spinning there :) along with TONS of my friends and many other great Vancouver/Whistler DJs. With the Cheeky boys in the house, how can you go wrong? Tix are only $10 right now (I got some if you need them, so email me back ASAP). Oh yeah, apparently a certain Erika is having the start(?) to her b-day week there as well (happy almost b-day :) ---------------------------------------------------------- Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004: Water World (Passion) - Rowing Club http://www.clubproductions.ca/special/flyer3.jpg ---------------------------------------------------------- This series of parties have been going OFF for a couple of years now! Having played and partied at a few of these, I can tell you that this will be the place to be on the 28th :) The Rowing club is a beatiful venue with two rooms, with a huge deck, over looking the water and Stanley Park. Venues don't get much better than this (seriously, the view is beautiful and the two rooms have a really nice vibe to them). Um, and it will be my friend Tania's b-day and she plans to be ripping it up with me and friends :) If you need tix, email me back and I can sort you out. --------------------------------------------------------- Friday, Sept. 3, 2004: Retrobass (Homebass) - CiTR 101.9fm http://www.djnoah.com --------------------------------------------------------- Vancouver's longest running electronica show (14 years now) and the first, Homebass, has started to host a monthly retro edition on the 1st Friday of each month, named Retrobass! The first one aired on Aug. 6th with Lunatech on the air, and I am going to be playing the guest spot on the 2nd installment, coming up on Sept. 3rd. This show and its host, DJ Noah, have been responsible for introducing electronica to Vancouver back in 1990 and have kept going since. Tune in! And feel free to call in and harass me while on the air (604)-822-CITR. The show runs from 9pm-12am each Friday. ---------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004: Lotus Long Weekend 1 year Anniv. - Lotus/Lick http://www.intimateproductions.com/flyers/llw7.jpg ----------------------------------------------------------- CAN YOU BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN A YEAR SINCE WE STARTED DOING THESE? I can't!!!! damn... I am getting old FAST! :) But it has been a GREAT ride. These parties are a SERIOUS good time. I don't think we have yet had any that have been mediocre! The place is PACKED each and everytime, and there is usually a line up, and that always indicates GTs (Good Times). This time we have T-Bone spinning for us downstairs (he has been out of town for a while, so this is his first local gig in a while) along with Tom Thomas and Mighty Mac, and RC Lair doing up the electro/breaks upstairs, along with Tantra and myself. I don't think I need to say anymore! I think you need to come check it out for yourselves (if you have never been to one, you are seriously missing out). Email me if you need tix, etc.. etc.. :-) peace.out(); -farshad (aka: that DJ Abasi guy) http://www.intimateproductions.com |

Best thing to do at the end of summer is to head out to Penticton and float down the canal for a day on tubes. Its sorta a tradition now for a few of us. Floating down on huge tubes and getting sloshed. Its like $25 gas and 2 1/2 hours drive there.
