w.e.e.k.e.n.d. it's weeeeekend!
hola!
It's me again! and guess what? I have a few important announcements to make. :) Let's see if we can keep this short and sweet: - Fri, Sept. 3: Homebass's Retrobass w/ DJ Abasi - 101.9FM (9pm-12am) - Sun, Sept. 5: Lotus Long Weekend 1 Year Anniversary! - Sat, Sept.11: The Listening Room @ The Planetarium - Fri, Sept.17: Stevie' G's going away bash @ Sonar Fri, Sept. 3: Homebass's Retrobass w/ DJ Abasi - 101.9FM (9pm-12am) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The legendary Vancouver electronica radio show, 14+ years and running strong. Hosted by DJ Noah, the man that is responsible for bringing techno, DnB and other forms of electronica to the Vancouver masses back in the early 90s, this show just kicks ass. Tune in on the first Friday of each month for the Retrobass edition to hear the tunes from days gone by. Guest DJ for Retrobass this month = DJ Abasi! (aka good ole' me). Sun, Sept. 5: Lotus Long Weekend 1 Year Anniversary! ------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.intimateproductions.com By far the most fun you can have with your clothes on (well, for some poeple, with their clothes off, as seen a couple parties ago :). This is our 1 year anniversary! Good times? HELL YEA! Sold out show? Most likely. What can you do to get in? Get your tix online NOW ( http://www.intimateproductions.com for $8 tix) or get there early (tix are $12 at the door and subject to capacity limits). Sat, Sept.11: The Listening Room @ The Planetarium -------------------------------------------------------- http://www.listeningroom.ca Awwww yea! there is a party at the "Planet-arium" on Sept. 11. What better venue than this super cool space! and it's not everyday that there is a party at this place (trust me, it was VERY difficult to get the permits for this one as it is). This is the 3rd annual Listening Room and the other two have been AMAZING! The main room will feature live electronic music and the Planeterium lazers and crazy visuals (you HAVE to see it! quite an experience) and the side room will feature kick ass DJs. Oh yeah, did I mention CHEAP BEER??? :) Tix are $16 (it sold out last year, so get your ASAP) and you can get them from me (just email me back) or email Dave @ listening_room@hotmail.com . Fri, Sept.17: Stevie' G's going away bash @ Sonar ----------------------------------------------------------- Our very own Stevie G is going away *sniff*. He has been accepted into a wicked program to continue his schooling and get a bachelors degree! that kicks ass. But what sucks is that he will be gone for a year, and his intense studies will most likely keep him away from partying (well, we'll have to wait and see about that one). But the point is, you need to come and send this man off properly! So come to Sonar on the 17th. There will be DJ Keoki in the house with Rev in the main room, and Abasi (me!), Andy Clockwork and NUDLZ upstairs ripping it up! He is one of the hardest working promoters in this city and he deserves a really good send off; so I expect you all there and buying many drinks for the man :) Wow! way to keep the post short Farshad!
