(Thanks Precise and Chewy for those comments/notes). Twisted still VERY much around which Precise has so kindly posted. Twisted Productions is a business - As a business we will flex our strategy and business plan according to the market. The reality - only three maybe four LEGAL "rave" venues exist. ALL of these venues are being booked excessively by various companies. SO... As it mentions in our mission statement, Twisted has been and continues to be committed to the Vancouver scene by bringing the best talent and putting on some of the best shows while always treating the visiting talent with the ut-most respect ensuring they want to come back and play for us again! Switching to club venues and getting creative with those shows has been extremely successful and WELL received by the people in Vancouver. Granted not everyone is over 19, but we are doing the best we can with what venues we have. -- I think our Benny show on March 26th is an recent example of also contributing to the all ages shows. The Colesium also has restrictions on it like the fact you can't book a show of a similar nature with in the same month. (Stupid rule if you ask me). That in combination with Solid shows already being booked almost a year in advance and the Vancouver Giants hockey games, makes it difficult to have a "Twisted branded" show there. It's not that we aren't capable, it's just that it's not possible! SOOO... based on that, we've adjusted our business process and plans and we see as good if not better success in the club scene which allows us to bring in cutting edge and world class talent. Anyway... back to the topic at hand here.... And I agree with PrinceIce... nice work Solid and Rick Mezey on booking Icey as it's been forever since he's played in Van! Cheers. |
