Tuesday March 12th Automatic presents Stakka and Skynet (Underfire/Audio Blueprint/Moving Shadow/Ram records, UK), at the Lotus Sound Lounge, 455 Abbott st. at Pender. These two producer/DJs are at the top of the drum and bass game right now, with their recent "Clockwork" LP considered on of the top releases of the past year, and they've also been responsible for some classic tunes such as "Side Effects" under their "Kraken" alias. And, as always, your hosts for the evening the automatic crew (Matty, Jay-Auto, and Effect), representing 3 years of Vancouver's longest running drum and bass night. Tickets $15 at the door, doors at 9:30.

It was everything I expected of them. However I would've rathered to hear ALL new tracks, I recognized quite a bit of them. All in all STAKKA SKYNET, Jungle Gods.

oh they were playing FRESH FRESH FRESH stuff and the older tracks they were playing were their own. thats why i like watching real uk producers spin. lotta the prodcucers, since they get the fresh brand new anthems all the time, they all tend to play the same set all the time, but fuck that.. the set stakka and skynet played last night was so original. they dropped a few anthems down but they stuck to keeping the sound theyre all about. they represent the music. fuckin great last night! fuckin great!

Yeha, but you know they had a crate full of shit that we didn't hear, The first hour of the set was all new tracks. One after the other was fucking SICK. But then they played some of their older classics . I'm not saying that it wasn't as good. It's just I wanted more of the new shit.I FIEND FOR NEW JUNGLE!!!!!!!!!
