freQ.Nasty [MAR.25/02] - $12 !!

March 25, 2002 - 9pm-2am
Element Sound Lounge - 801 w. georgia street.
"EDIT" presents

FREQ NASTY - UK (SKINT RECORDS/MARINE PARADE/BOTCHIT)

freQ.Nasty's brilliantly received first solo single Boomin Back Atcha has laid the foundation for future releases on Botchit and is sure to leave his contemporaries wondering where he will go next. freQ. corrected any doubts with the recent release of his Underglass/SE15 single, which rocked floors & gained massive press attention. As well as concentrating on his release schedule for both labels Botchit and Scarper and Emotif, freQ's services are in demand from some of the countries leading Artists and producers.

He's released tracks on Adams Frecland's (formerly of R&S) label 'Marine Parade' with label mate BLIM as Hi prime. He is also due to work with TCR's Rennie Pilgrim on various projects which are likely to be released on the TCR, along with various planned but untitied projects with B.L.I.M Move back mother fucker!!! I think that say's it all really, who's the mother fucker? It doesn't matter, Just do what he say's.

Dance floors are melting as anarchy breaks out on the floor, the lid has been well and truly lifted with this one, saying 'just f... off if you're gonna have a go'! freQ.Nasty has demolished the building, and he used to be such a sweet boy. It's 1999 and about time we had some serious cross genre fun with this dance music stuff. His fourth single release for Botchit, it's huge, dark and scary at first glance, bouncing all over the speakers with the ferocity of a rabid dog.

T-Power's on remix duly, and he's having none of it either. His mix tastefully leaves off whence Nasty started. Concise, to the point and delivered with the velvet covered venom that is truly T-Power. It's been quite a year for Botchit's freQ.Nasty.

From the release in late 97' of Boomin' Back Atcha to last summer's New Skool breaks anthem Underglass/SE15, to freQ-A-zoid his third full scale Botchit release. 'freq-a-Zoid the robot, please report to the dance floor', that missing link where Daft Punk & Les Rhythm Digitale would have been if they'd been listening to fat n'funky drum and Bass tinged breaks at Movement for the last year & a half. Is this the state of a nation?

FreQ.Nasty returns to the spotlight with a fresh reworking of his classic Botchit debut Boomin Back Atcha. Now in the full intergalactic cosmic companv of Phoebe One on vocals. The track has gained momentum from it's outset to a now monumental status. Plus, the A&R at Botchit got sick of constant ear chewing harassment from people wishing for it to all happen again!! So here we are believing our feet are firmly on the ground whilst freQ.Nasty and his newest found friend and partner in time are out amongst the cosmos destroying all that's bad in the galaxy with their sonic, booming, hypnotic basslines and Phoebe's domineering vocals proclaiming her and freQ.Nasty's ownership of the universe! Phoebe's career has grown across the past 5 years from the day's of carving a niche on the open mic hip hop circuit to her hit's Ladies If You're With Me, the dancehall smash Doin Our Thing with Goofy, Red rat & Buccaneer, to their current smash Get It On.

Phoebe really grabbed major spot light attention this year with a win at the Mobo's, big things for this artist future bound. It's all raging along swimmingly and then Hybrid arrive on the scene and deliver their earthly Music To Plough Fields To mix and show why they're becoming one of the UK's fastest growing breakbeat acts. freQ.Nasty delivers his own reworkings of the track, taking the dance floor to the next level. freQ.Nasty has been a dominant player in dictating the sound and vibe of millennial clubbing.

freQ.Nasty already has a good profile @ press and public level, due to his previous releases, currently preparing for a UK tour as part of Botchit & Scarper live dates, plus a full European tour from mid October. He has recently completed a tour of Australia and New Zeaiand on the 'Vibes on a summers day' tour, along with gigs in New York at Twilo's, Glastonbury and around the world. His Sunday Archetype show on Interface, the internet radio station, with label mate B.L.I.M is growing in world wide attention. With plays at Botchit & Scarper & Emotif nights and he will be playing, Holland's Dance Valley, Creamfields, The eclipse festivals and is now a resident on the world-wide Big beat boutique tour, amongst a host of UK and world wide live dates. freQ.Nasty's profile is growing rapidly.
