Hyadn. man im thinking NAY big ol' freaking nay. Last year fucking John'00'Fleming, and Marc et Claude, this years lineup is NOTHING compared to that. money is tight and i aint got the cash to waste on cheese headliners. Plus ive already seen all three of the mainroom headliners in under a year.

How about this dude, lets jack up the ticket prices to $100/each to pay for headliners like we had last year... would you come then? Probably not.
The City of Vancouver is only permitting a capacity of 2700 at the Plaza of Nations... that limits ticket sales and thus revenues to pay VERY hefty fees to pull names like John'00 and Marc et Claude. As a result, we are pulling the headliners we have announced which are not "cheese headliners." I can't remember if it was you who was complaining about the scene and the way it's changing but that attitude is the reason it is. Peace. |

Man first of all i have never complained about how the scene is changing.....as long as there are good dj's in town its all good. Its not that those headliners arnt good it that they have been done before, Miss behaving was here just few months ago, sakin is in vancouver a lot as well.
Man your party is going to sell out one way or another so its all good. |

You are right that these DJ's have been done before BUT:
1.) Miss Behavin - spun at Spooky 6 (5 months ago) and played so well, we were asked to bring her back... so we did! 2.) Sakin - if my memory serves me correctly, played here 2 years ago at a party called Elisium or something... 3.) Irish Pete - Played at Millennium (little over a year ago) and again, people wanted to hear him. So really, we are doing what we are told. I can tell you that we were looking at making it a Nukluez fest - contacted BK, Sentience, Andy Farley, Ian M and a few others but they were all booked. Next time... Peace. |

i wouldn't mind payin like $50 for an outdoor party that could bring out such uk talent (nukleuz/ tidy/ ingo(again!)/ stimulant/ tripoli (r they Uk?)
. but... like kraig said, there's not a growing market in vancouver and peeps are gettin sick n tired of it... d=o( i really miss the uk sound, even the uk garage sound kuz no body really supports shit like dreem team, oxide and neutrino's massive crew for an all nite rave |
