Hey everybody im new here, I'm here from montreal and I used to help my buddies throw parties out there... I was at IMF and I loved it so much, its nothing like the parties back in montreal tho.. I am 19 years old and I am about 6 feet tall, i live in the east side in vancouver and i think I am going to be promoting parties here in Vancouver very soon.. I will be going to many parties to come and if any of you people want me to check out your party please just ask me and i would probably be able to check it out.. I'm not much of a club goer yet because the clubs close to early.. O ya i just joined today!!! cuz someone told me about this at IMF..

I'm Jaclynn. I'm 16, and from Duncan (it sucks here.. but I guess it's not too far away from vic & nanaimo). My first party was the one at the beginning of this year.. I'm not even sure what it was called but it was at forestry and the Duncan promoters put it on. The last party I went to was SSBB 2.5 (I had a blue shirt with gir on it).

hello hello
well im not really a noob, been here for a long time on and off. I seem to have my trends lol. In the years ive been here i can honnestly say ive only met 5 people, and 3 of em i met through a friend and i found out later that they were on this site. So i thought it would be a good idea to meet some of you people, possibly meet people from the area. Have more people i know attendin parties so i dont always have to depend on a small crew of people. Anyways i'm Sami, here in the COQ. Went to Port Moody and i go to ubc now. I love Trance, i started listenin to trance when i was in grade 8. lol But through the years ive started to love house and funky house and breaks. I m ALWAYS in the breaks room, unless im catchin a bit of someones set in the trance stage. Well i think ive said enough, i would love to heare from some of you people.

I'm a NooB. I've always listened to Trance (and electronic) music but wasn't much into the 'scene' til I went to Australia last December and saw the scene down there. You can't miss it there. It's pretty normal; not underground. Really got into it and holy shit I almost didn't make it back it was that good! I recommend going to Aus to any dance music lover! Sydney in particular (but the whole country knows where it's at). I miss it so much. They have raves occasionally - indoors and outdoors, but most events take place at clubs (legal age 18). And the clubs are awesome!! The best is one called Home (the name suggests PLUR doesn't it) which is half the size of the Commodore but 4 levels with a funky layout. Oh and the vibe, the friendly people, the dancing, the faces - all in one happy happy nation. *Sigh* When I was there I went to Tiesto & Pete Tong for Thirst @ Home, Transmissions with Kai Tracid, Cosmic Gate Transmissions at Space, Sounds on Sunday (incredible outdoor courtyard & indoor club in an old converted church from noon to 11pm every Sunday afternoon), had VIP for Sublime @ Home (www.clubsublime.com.au) every Friday nite (the best club in NSW), Together @ Home (more PLUR) Sat. night is wicked too, went spastic at Plastic for Easter, Thursday Delights at Icebox (now shut down), Daydreams at Incc Bar (which opens at 6am in the morning (fully legal) and goes til noon every Sat. and Sunday morning), and Family (voted best club in Australia www.thefamily.com.au) in Brisbane, to name a few memorables. Check out the scene at: www.inthemix.com.au OR www.ministryofsound.com.au (of course). My favorite DJ from Oz is John Ferris, but there are so many others!! Kid Kenobi for Breaks kicks ass, Jumping Jack, Bexta, Yoshi, Nik Fish, Amber Savage and Pee Wee Ferris for Hard (doof doof) Trance.... Anyway when I got back in June I had to get into the Vancouver scene. Slowly but surely. I hope dance music keeps growing here and one day can compare to how it is accepted so widely and in all age groups in Australia (and London, Amsterdam, Miami, Ibiza, etc. etc.) Well maybe not that big but ya know what I mean. *Phew ~ keep the dream alive* Other than that, I'm just same old me, originally from North Delta, shouts to Seaquam crew - but no one from there listens to trance (or electronica) much (punk rock!)....drop me a line...LiSa Last edited by SquiLa; Oct 19, 04 at 10:19 AM. hi im Patrick, i just signed up. ive been reading the boards for a while and it seems like a cool place. im 18 and new to the whole scene- only party ive been to was a bushparty while back. there was a really nice guy/dj there. i think his name was Sean/AquaVak? he helped me out when i needed a ride home. props to him. cheers
