A little travel inspiration...
this is cut and pasted from a travel forum im on. i thought it was great and would like to share it.
""Come April 3rd I am putting in my resignation at work and taking up my new career as a full time vagabonder. The excitment and anticipation keep hitting new highs each day. I look around at work and realize how much I am going to miss non of it. I've been with the same company for over 5 years, I've worked up the ranks from the lowliest of pions to the most technically advanced professional position available in the company, and I feel no remorse about leaving. I keep thinking that maybe I'll start a trend, others will follow in my footsteps, hordes of coworkers will be trampling each other trying to get to the door as they rip out their ties in a desperate stuggle to break free and see the world! Wait, I'm dreaming again... I am surprised though how easy it is to get sucked into a miserable world of working your ass off for an organization that is only interested in results and as a result doesn't give a shit about you as an individual and won't even supply you with enough vacation to keep you remotely sane. Everyone works so hard for money but money doesn't really matter. It's your personal experiences that truely matter and I don't see how anyone can look back on their life after working the entire length of it at a corporation and feel any bit of accomplishment or pride. I would look back on my life in regret. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get back but I know I will not be in the rat race again. Cheers to breaking free!
Live with purpose and enjoy every moment life has to offer... It is garaunteed to be over too soon so don't regret any of it. ""
