last summer (mid june to early september) i was living in tokyo and by the time it was time for me to come home i was more than ready!
while i was there i was not completly re-programed but my outlooks, ideas and attitdude were up-graded :0) the one thing i remember was ENGLISH overload the first couple days i got back. i went to wendy's for a hambuger the same day i came back to vancouver and not only could i hear the staff behind the counter was saying, i could hear what the staff in the kitchen was saying and what the people in the dinning room were saying. too many conversations, i thought that i was going mad. anyway, welcome home. |

when i came home i was ready as well, but still found myself awake each night for a week or so(not due to jetlag, i was lucky) thinking about the 2 mikes. there was asia mike, wild and open minded and free to do anything, any time and without a possible threat or care in my mind. then there was vancouver mike, calm and sensible and thinking with foresight.
i combined them into the perfect mike. a little from column a, a little from b. i found that life for me here was a lot easier and solid. hopefully that made sense dude. start planning your next trip, it will keep you focused on your next trip. |

I love coming home after being away for a long time, it gives you piece of mind, but I remmeber in high school when you went on vacation and then came back... you certainly had missed a lot in the highschool bubble... this person broke up with that person, that person got drunk... etc
Vancouver is always a comforting site to see when coming home though |
