Dunny Series 4 Sept.24th !1!!!!

It's almost here. Kidrobot will continue the Dunny franchise with the release of Dunny Series 4 on Thursday, September 24th. The series will feature several artists including Gary Baseman, Nico Berry, Jon Burgerman, Dalek, David Flores, Huck Gee, Thomas Han, Mr. Shane Jessup, KOA, Frank Kozik, Joe Ledbetter, MAD, Mad Barbarians, Tara McPherson (+ flier graphics), Mist, Michael Motorcycle, Sket One and Twelve Car Pileup.

Yeh a lot of Kozik's stuff is commodified western art which is basically just a source of income for him. The craze got him a brand new car and a 4' foot Kaws Companion recently, that think is redic, so really it did serve him well. The guy made a living in the 80s doing punk posters and all sorts of small projects so that's how he's able to pursue all his interests.

Most of his serious projects are Japanese RXH fight figures which he hand paints and are generally sought after and more respected by certain collectors. These are more for the hardcores and not for mass-production such as his western designs which are smoking turds (literally), smoking rabbits, pop-icons etc that young kids cop with their BAPE hoodies.

I've never liked anything by Kozik.

Biskup/Dalek/Mad/Sket are my faves.

Azteca are waaaay better than s4 imo, Aztecas KR's biggest selling Dunny series yet, there's another series being done with all new/diff Mexican artists, can't wait.

I wasn't too huge into the Azteca series. I guess it's cause I bought 8, and got all the ones I wanted and only one double...

Getting a little bored of the dunny's myself. I am going to pick up a few of these ones, but not too many.

Great! I went to the launch party at Headquarters for the Azteca, and since the staff pretty much hates everyone it was pretty weak. Voltage is just friendly, a welcome change.

Plus they don't jack the prices up.
