My attempt at a flyer

this is a flyer I made for a new club night me and my krew started this summer in sleepy Terrace.
This is the second installment- unfortunately I'm moving tomorow and won't be playing the show anymore...

not the prettiest flyer, but it's my first attempt. and it was 85% produced with ms paint. ha ha !

you want something that is eye catching, simple and straight to the point.

flyers are something most people only hold on to for a couple minutes at most, you want your information to reach them as quickly and effective as possible.

that's just what I look for in all the design work I have done.

the fact that you did that in ms paint is impressive, but i would clean it up and lower the contrast and saturation a little

For any MS Paint flyer attempt I salute you! But making a flyer for a rave doesn't require you to make a rave out of your flyer. The layout isn't that bad, but you could benefit from some fine tuning. Cut down on the amount of fonts you're using (maybe 1-2 decorative fonts and a media friendly typeface for the fine print), ration your image intake (pick a design theme and stick with it, avoid making speaker/spice girl/legoman chowder), and for the love of Buddha... upgrade your software to something above MS Paint!

All I ever use it for is for saving screenshot images haha.

In general you have 1-3 seconds to catch someone's attention. I'm not sure what to look at.

you didn't select a color scheme at all. looks like you used just about ever color ms paint has to offer and like everyone else said it's too busy.

i'll give you props for getting most of it done in ms paint though.

Thats my thoughts here pretty much as well. thers so much going on with the colors i dont know what to look at almost there but nice attempt for a first one.

Too much cluster fuck. Darken some colors. If it's a fiesta theme. Put some fiesta type shit on the flyer. People are also loving abstract shit these days.
