might as well get a new one - the black ones are only like a couple years old so they won't be that much cheaper than a new one and with laptops - you'll probably defintiely want the warranty.
BTW, if you're getting it new - don't bother with the black one - get the middle one instead and spend the $300 difference on a 500 gig external (or even a small 160gig usb drive) instead of getting a measly 60 gigs of extra space.
