your lack of knowledge on ecler's is embarassing.. sturdy mixers with great quality.. the djm 600 cant even compare to it.

600s are generally pretty low on the totem pole when it comes to sound quality.

alan & heaths, eclers, ranes are waaaay better sounding than any 600.

800 > 600 as far as effects go, easily.

Individual effects knobs for each channel, including filters and pitch adjust.... yeah, I've fallen in love with the 800.

you missed the (at the time) part. when the 600 came the ability to somewhat control the effects was nuts.

yeah, when the 800 came out. effects over effects is crazy, not a bad way to spend $3000

Im well aware of what im dealing with here.

Ecler good: SOUND, knobs
Eclur bad: sound effects and features are not common industry startard.

600 bad: sound and not as good at the 800
600 good: Still often the industry standard, but only second to its new improved, identically designed sister 800. Being able to practice with the effects on the 600 at home would far more benefit me when it comes to playing out.

The nuo 5 has usb effects.. kaoss pad ftw.

Then you come onto an 800 and the effects are way different, the 800 doesnt use the same controls as the 600, thus wasting any time on learning the 600.

Huh?

The side-console on the 800 is identical to the 600. The only thing different is that there are more effects on the 800 and that there are simple channel-specific knobs for some of the effects on the 800.

You're right.. i saw a picture.. you can do both with it.

newly, the 800 uses double effect, add filters, flangers to effects using the left side side and the actuall knob on the channel itself

the 800 also lets you do post-fader effects which the 600 doesn't allow you to do.

Personally, I think an Ecler w/ an EFX-500 or 1000 is loads of fun too

From what I've seen people do with an ecler and an efx unit it's a far superior mixer to the djm 600.

Bells and whistles can be added, solid engineering cannot.
