If it's a family member, it's really hard to just stop trusting them. If it were just a friend, I would have no problem telling them to fuck off and get out of my life. I've done it before and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

However, I have a had a family member who was a drug addict. At the time, I didn't know that he had a drug problem, so I trusted him. Now that I look back on it, I realize that he lied to me about stupid things, but about the things in his heart he couldn't lie about. That's the difference between family and friends - it's FAR harder to lie to a family member about serious things than it is to lie to a friend - imo at least.

Ya i can only imagine how hard it must be for some people. I saw my a buddy I have known for 18 years of my life go from being normal to now being Dillusional, Psychotic, Skitzophrenic(spelling?), liar, who believes only what he believes in which is the drugs. Make sense.
